UTICA — Police responded to reports of gunfire during a large fight Monday afternoon in east Utica, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Howard Avenue at approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 19 after receiving calls about a shots fired incident.
According to the Utica Police Department, multiple people were reportedly in possession of firearms during the altercation.
At least one shot was fired during the confrontation, but no injuries were reported.
The department’s Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Unit will handle the ongoing investigation.
