UTICA — A 52-year-old Utica resident was arrested after allegedly entering Price Chopper stores she had previously been banned from and committing theft on two separate occasions last week.

Stacey Bailey was arrested and charged with burglary in the third degree and petit larceny for incidents that occurred on May 14 and May 15.

According to the Utica Police Department, Bailey had been previously banned from entering Price Chopper establishments due to theft-related incidents.

Police said Bailey re-entered the stores despite the ban and committed larcenies inside.

The Utica Police Department stated they remain committed to pursuing the highest possible charges against repeat offenders who target retail establishments.

Authorities said individuals who knowingly enter establishments they are banned from and commit crimes will face felony level charges in an effort to reduce recidivism.
