SHELTON — A two-vehicle collision Sunday night left one person dead and two others injured, according to Shelton police.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the area of River Road (Route 110) and Montgomery Street at approximately 11:10 p.m. following reports of a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, Shelton Police, Fire Department and EMS personnel found two vehicles involved in a collision.
Two occupants from one vehicle were transported to Bridgeport Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The sole occupant of the second vehicle was also taken to Bridgeport Hospital, where they were later pronounced deceased.
Police are withholding the identity of the deceased until notification of next of kin.
The Shelton Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is actively investigating the incident.
