PENN YAN — A Branchport woman was arrested after allegedly stealing money from a Penn Yan resident, according to local police.
Angela L. Vazquez, 30, faces a charge of petit larceny following the May 7 incident.
Police said Vazquez took money from a village resident while visiting their home.
Officers contacted Vazquez on May 10, at which time she admitted to taking the money, authorities said.
Vazquez was taken into custody and issued an appearance ticket.
She was released and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer to the charge.
