Oswegatchie man arrested after knife attack leaves two injured

OSWEGATCHIE — A 20-year-old Ogdensburg man was arrested on assault charges following a knife attack that left two people injured on River Road.

Terry V. Krake was arrested by State Police on May 3 for Assault in the second degree.

Troopers responded to a report of an assault on River Road in Oswegatchie at approximately 11:24 p.m. on May 2.

An investigation determined that during a physical altercation, Krake allegedly used a knife to cut one victim on the upper eye and left side of the rib cage.

The victim managed to escape, and Krake fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

A second victim near the altercation was struck in the head with an unknown object and was bleeding, according to police.

Both victims were transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Krake was later located, arrested, and transported to State Police Ogdensburg for processing.

He was arraigned in the Town of Oswegatchie Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
