WEST SPARTA — A 34-year-old West Sparta woman was arrested on felony drug charges after New York State Parole officers discovered suspected methamphetamine during a routine visit.
Carissa Thompson-Robbins was taken into custody at approximately 10:33 a.m. on April 30 when Livingston County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence where parole officers had found the suspected illegal substances.
Deputy Gavin Duell charged Thompson-Robbins with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the fourth degree, a felony.
Thompson-Robbins was also charged with a Violation of Parole due to the alleged drug possession.
Following processing at the Livingston County Jail, Thompson-Robbins was arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Village of Mt. Morris Justice Finnigan.
The judge remanded Thompson-Robbins to custody without the possibility of bail due to the Parole Violation.
The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Thompson-Robbins at the arraignment, while the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office represented the People.
