COPAKE — A Columbia County woman was arrested Monday on felony charges after allegedly stabbing a man during a domestic dispute, according to New York State Police.
Troopers, along with the Hudson Police Department and the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a residence in the Town of Copake following a report of a domestic dispute involving a knife.
Investigators determined that Natasha Fielder, 38, and the victim had engaged in a verbal argument earlier in the day.
For reasons that remain unclear, Fielder later stabbed the victim in the shoulder with a knife, police said.
The victim managed to escape and call for assistance.
He was transported to a local medical facility, where he is listed in stable condition.
Fielder was arrested at the scene and charged with assault in the 2nd degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree, both Class D felonies.
Following her arraignment in the Town of Copake Court, Fielder was released to probation.
She is scheduled to reappear in court on June 23.
