PENN YAN — A 41-year-old Penn Yan man was arrested during a traffic stop after police discovered he had an outstanding warrant.
Matthew L. Kennedy was identified as a passenger in a vehicle stopped by Penn Yan Police Department officers within village limits.
Officers confirmed Kennedy was wanted on a charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree from the City of Gates, NY.
Kennedy was taken into custody at the scene.
He was later transferred to the custody of the Gates Police Department.
