NORTH BRANFORD — Police have arrested a Wallingford man in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store on Middletown Avenue last December.
Anthony Pagano, 34, was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and first-degree threatening for the incident at RT 17 Smoke and Convenience store.
North Branford police responded to the store at 1387 Middletown Avenue on Dec. 2, 2024, after the owner reported an armed robbery had occurred the previous night.
Detectives identified Pagano as the suspect following an extensive investigation conducted with assistance from the Wallingford and Meriden Police Departments.
Officers from the North Branford Detective Bureau served an arrest warrant on Pagano on March 7, 2024, while he was already incarcerated on charges related to robberies in Meriden and Wallingford.
Pagano appeared in court at 121 Elm Street in New Haven following his arrest.
