CLAY — New York State Police are searching for a potentially armed 16-year-old boy who disappeared from his home Thursday morning.

Brenden M. Warner was last seen by a family member at his residence in Clay at approximately 10 a.m.

Warner is described as a white male with fair skin, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds.

He has brown hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a black cap, red hoodie, and black or red pants while carrying a red designer backpack.

Authorities say Warner’s direction of travel is unknown, and while he was last seen on foot, he may have obtained vehicle transportation.

Police warn that Warner is believed to be armed with a weapon and may be in distress.

Multiple locations have been checked without success, and investigators believe he may be in the city of Syracuse.

Authorities urge anyone who sees Warner or has information about his whereabouts not to approach him but to immediately contact 911.
