BROOKFIELD — Vermont State Police arrested a Randolph man on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash Thursday evening on North Ridge Road.

Troopers from the Royalton Barracks responded to the crash at approximately 6:50 p.m. on March 6.

While interacting with the driver, Kenneth L. Benoir, 64, of Randolph, officers observed signs of impairment.

Further investigation led troopers to determine Benoir had been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, according to police.

Benoir was taken into custody and transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Orange Criminal Division, on March 26 at 8:30 a.m. to answer to the DUI charge.
