BATH — Police, with support from the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, executed a no-knock search warrant at 38 Belfast Street on Thursday at approximately 5:30 a.m.
The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics possession and sales in Bath.
Officers discovered a large quantity of methamphetamine and suspected fentanyl during the search. Several items related to narcotics packaging and sales were also recovered.
Joseph E. Hojnoski, 54, was arrested on a Superior Court Warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, both Class B felonies. He also faces a charge of Tampering With Physical Evidence, a Class E felony.
Hojnoski was taken to the Steuben County Jail for arraignment and remains in custody with the opportunity for bail.
Kimberly S. Jerrells, 47, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd Degree, a Class A-II felony. She was taken to Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment and released.
Michelle L. Burleson, 33, was arrested on a warrant for Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree, a Class A misdemeanor. She was also released following CAP arraignment.
Further charges are anticipated.
