NORTH BRANFORD — Police arrested a man Monday in connection with a burglary investigation at a local café that occurred late last year.
On Dec. 18, 2023, the North Branford Police Department responded to Central Café, located at 280 Branford Road (Central Plaza), for a reported burglary.
Following several months of extensive investigative work, an arrest warrant was submitted and approved for 56-year-old John Chaski, who was already incarcerated on unrelated charges.
Detectives from the North Branford Detective Bureau served the warrant Monday, arresting Chaski on charges of third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal trespass.
Chaski appeared in court Monday at 121 Elm Street in New Haven.
