LOWELL — Gang Unit officers arrested a juvenile and an adult male after a brief foot chase in the Back Central neighborhood on Feb. 20.
Officers were monitoring the area for gang activity when they saw a dirt bike carrying two individuals.
Police attempted to stop the dirt bike, but the operator failed to comply.
Shortly afterward, officers relocated the dirt bike and approached the two individuals, who then fled on foot.
Both were quickly apprehended and taken into custody.
The juvenile was found to be in possession of a firearm.
Both individuals were charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful carrying of a large-capacity firearm, and multiple motor vehicle offenses.
