St Johnsbury man accused of criminal threatening

ST JOHNSBURY — Police say a St Johnsbury man is facing a criminal threatening charge after an incident on Mt Vernon Street.

According to St Johnsbury Police, officers received a report on Feb. 6 from a resident at 58 Mt Vernon St.

The resident told police that upon arriving home, they found Benjamin Heath, 35, in the common entrance of the building smoking an unknown substance.

Police say the resident removed Heath from the building, at which point Heath allegedly made remarks that placed the resident in fear of serious bodily injury.

Heath remains incarcerated and has been cited to appear in Caledonia court at 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 to answer the charge.
