WAREHAM — On Feb. 16, officers from the Wareham Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious female pulling on car doors in the parking lot of Stop and Shop at 2991 Cranberry Highway.
The suspect was identified as Cassandra Lewandowski, 34, of Bourne.
During the investigation, Lewandowski discarded a loaded firearm while interacting with officers.
She was taken into custody without incident, and the firearm was secured by police.
Further investigation revealed that Lewandowski had stolen items from an unsecured vehicle in the parking lot.
Lewandowski was charged with multiple firearm offenses, breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, and larceny.
She is being held on bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Wareham 4th District Court on Feb. 18.
