Man arrested as fugitive from justice in Lyndonville traffic stop

LYNDONVILLE — A Lyndonville police officer arrested a man wanted on a felony warrant during a traffic stop early Friday morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 a.m. on February 14 on Lynburke Road near the Auto Shed.

Officers stopped a suspicious vehicle and identified the driver as Andrew Young, 36, of Lyndon.

Young was found to be the subject of an active arrest warrant issued by Grafton County Superior Court for a felony cocaine charge.

Young was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Lyndonville Police Department.

He was later arraigned before the Caledonia Criminal Court, where he was ordered held without bail.

Young was subsequently lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

The investigation remains ongoing.
