WAREHAM — On Feb. 7, officers from the Wareham Police Department responded to the Woods at Wareham Apartment Complex at 48 Swifts Beach Road for a report of a stabbing.
A male victim was found with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators determined that Ian Hill, 29, armed with a knife, forcibly entered an apartment and attacked the victim.
Hill fled the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was transported to Tobey Hospital for treatment.
On Feb. 8, police received information about Hill’s location.
Officers located him at the same apartment complex and took him into custody without incident.
Hill, of Wareham, was charged with home invasion and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
He was held on $25,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 10 at Wareham 4th District Court.
