Stockbridge man arrested for DUI following traffic stop

BETHEL — A Stockbridge man was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop late Friday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Feb. 7 near the intersection of VT Route 107 and Cleveland Brook Road.

Vermont State Police from the Royalton Barracks initiated the stop after observing motor vehicle violations.

The operator, identified as 33-year-old Alecsander King, showed signs of impairment during the encounter.

Following an investigation, King was taken into custody for DUI.

He was transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing, where he was cited and released.
