NEWPORT — A 42-year-old man was cited as a fugitive from justice on Feb. 7 after being located at the Northern State Correctional Facility.

Landon J. Outlaw, of Newport, was the subject of an extraditable no-bail parole warrant issued by the state of Texas.

The warrant stems from an original offense of attempting to flee by motor vehicle, a felony in Texas.

Outlaw was already being held at the Northern State Correctional Facility due to a prior conviction in Vermont.

The Vermont State Police confirmed the citation and his current detention status.

No additional details regarding extradition proceedings were immediately available.
