St. Johnsbury resident charged with cocaine possession

ST. JOHNSBURY — A local resident was cited for possession of a significant amount of cocaine following a police search, authorities said.

Patrice Mason, 36, of St. Johnsbury, was charged with possession of more than 2.5 grams of crack cocaine after St. Johnsbury Police Department officers executed a search warrant at her residence on Jan. 23.

The search took place at 261 Portland Street around 12:27 p.m., where Mason was found with the illegal substance.

Detective Sgt. Lester Cleary led the investigation that resulted in the seizure.

Mason is scheduled to appear in Caledonia Superior Court for arraignment on Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. The court has confirmed that the case will proceed to action on the cited date.
