SHARON — A tractor trailer operated by a Hartford, Connecticut man slid off Interstate 89 South near Exit 3 during a snowstorm, leading to temporary ramp closure as authorities responded to the incident.
Jose Larosa, 52, was driving the 2024 International model vehicle on the snow-covered roadway when he reportedly lost control of the tractor trailer around 7:33 p.m.
According to the Royalton Barracks troopers, Larosa was navigating a right curve when the vehicle drifted from its lane and exited the west side of the interstate, hitting several roadside signs before coming to a controlled stop.
The operator was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, and no injuries were reported.
The vehicle sustained minor front-end damage.
Recovery efforts necessitated the shutdown of the southbound on-ramp at Exit 3 for a short duration, but the ramp has since been reopened.
Authorities remind drivers to exercise caution while driving in snowy conditions and to adjust speeds accordingly to ensure safety.
