SAINT JOHNSBURY — Two individuals from Sheffield were cited for retail theft incidents that took place at Market 32 on Memorial Drive, according to the Vermont State Police.

Megan M. Luce, 45, and Jason B. Korpi, 46, were involved in separate thefts using the same vehicle.

Luce was captured on surveillance footage on Dec. 27, concealing merchandise in reusable shopping bags and leaving the store without paying.

The items were not recovered by store staff.

In a similar incident on Jan. 2, Korpi was seen on camera loading merchandise into a cart and attempting to leave the premises.

He was confronted by asset protection in the parking lot, and the goods were returned to the store.

Troopers received the reports of the incidents on Jan. 16, and after an investigation, both Luce and Korpi were issued citations on Jan. 31.

They are scheduled to appear in the Caledonia County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 10 at 8:30 a.m.
