READING — A car crash on Christmas Day led to DUI charges for a local man, Vermont State Police reported.
On Dec. 25, at approximately 1:41 p.m., authorities responded to a report of a car colliding with a tree on Park Circle, near Tyson Road.
The driver, identified as 64-year-old David Girouard of Reading, exhibited signs of impairment at the scene.
Following an investigation, police determined that Girouard was operating his vehicle under the influence.
He has been cited and is scheduled to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, on Feb. 11 at 8:30 a.m.
