ST. JOHNSBURY — Two drivers walked away unharmed after their vehicles collided Monday evening on the I-91 South Exit 20 on-ramp.

At 6:04 p.m., State Troopers were responding to a call for service when Jacob Fox, 29, of Barre, operating a State police cruiser, attempted to merge onto the ramp to follow a suspect vehicle.

Samuel Zuk, 30, of St. Johnsbury, was driving his Subaru Forester on the same ramp towards the stationary cruisers.

Fox’s 2023 Ford Explorer, while merging, struck Zuk’s 2018 Subaru, resulting in minor damage to the police cruiser’s front passenger side and moderate damage to the driver’s side of the Subaru.

Both vehicles were able to leave the scene independently.

The clear weather and dry road conditions were noted at the time of the incident.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

The collision is currently under investigation.
