EVERETT — After nearly five hours of negotiation, a person in crisis was safely taken into custody by the North Metro SWAT Team, consisting of members from Everett, Revere, and the Suffolk Sheriff’s Department.
The standoff, which took place at 68 Linden Street, ended without any injuries to the individual or SWAT team members.
Following the arrest, the individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Local authorities, including the Everett Police, praised the coordination and teamwork among the SWAT team, patrol division, Everett Fire, dispatch services, and Cataldo Ambulance.
Their collaborative efforts were credited with the successful resolution of the incident.
Residents of 68 Linden Street, who patiently waited during the standoff, were thanked by the police for their cooperation.
The incident, which unfolded on Monday, highlighted the effectiveness of the local emergency response teams when faced with critical situations.
