Montville police seek suspects in Stop and Shop theft

MONTVILLE — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three males suspected of stealing merchandise from the local Stop and Shop on Dec. 15.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., two white males entered the supermarket, followed by a third accomplice 30 minutes later.

The trio proceeded to take various items past the checkout lanes, loading them into a gray Toyota Corolla with Connecticut registration AH95168.

Although $928 worth of goods was abandoned in a shopping cart at the scene and subsequently recovered by store personnel, the total value of the merchandise that made it into the vehicle remains uncertain.

The Montville Police Department is reaching out to anyone with information about the incident to contact Officer Hughes at 860-848-7510 ext. 134.

Asset Protection and management are working closely with law enforcement to resolve the matter.
