Southington police seek help identifying electric scooter theft suspect

SOUTHINGTON — The Southington Police Department is calling on the public to help identify a suspect involved in the theft of an electric scooter from outside the local Walmart on Nov. 5.

According to authorities, the scooter was stolen while its owner shopped inside the store.

The incident took place at around 3:45 p.m. The suspect, a male with distinctive tattoos on both arms and his neck, was captured in surveillance photos at the time of the theft.

Officer Leary, badge number 467, is leading the investigation and urges anyone who recognizes the man or witnessed the theft to come forward.
