Food service to provide free meals for children in Irasburg, Barton, Brownington

IRASBURG — The Orleans Central Supervisory Union will participate in the Seamless Summer Food Program, offering free meals to children aged one to 18. The program ensures non-discriminatory meal service across various locations.

Meals will be available at Irasburg, Barton, and Brownington schools from June 18 to July 18, Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to noon.

At Lake Region, meals will be provided from June 18 to June 27 and July 8 to 25, Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be available from 8 to 8:30 a.m., and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m.

The Orleans Federated Church will distribute meals from June 18 to July 25, Monday through Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. each day. No meals will be available on Thursday, July 4.

All meals, except those from Orleans Federated Church, must be consumed on-site. Children can receive one day’s worth of meals at a time from one location per day.

Families are encouraged, though not required, to call ahead to ensure meals are ready. Calls should be made by 10 a.m. on Friday for Monday’s meals, indicating the number of meals and the preferred location.
