BETHEL — Vermont State Police arrested a local man early Saturday morning after he allegedly violated a Relief from Abuse Order and resisted arrest.

Troopers were called to a residence on Camp Brook Rd around 8:38 a.m. on June 8, where they found 37-year-old William L.

White, who had reportedly attempted to contact the protected person named in the order multiple times.

White was also present at the address, which was in direct violation of the order’s terms.

During the arrest, White resisted the troopers, which led to an additional charge of resisting arrest.

He was subsequently taken into custody, processed at the Royalton Barracks, and transported to Southern State Correctional Facility.

He is scheduled to later appear in the Windsor County Superior Court.

The Vermont State Police did not release the name of the victim, adhering to policies regarding victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Further details on the case are pending legal proceedings.
