WINDHAM — New Hampshire State Police have identified the victim of a fatal crash on Interstate 93 in Windham that occurred yesterday morning.

At 9:54 a.m. on June 4, State Troopers from the Troop B and Troop G barracks were dispatched to the scene near mile marker 5.6 following reports of a serious rollover accident.

Windham Fire Department personnel also responded to the emergency.

Upon arrival, responders found a white GMC Envoy on its side and partially blocking the left lane of I-93 North.

The driver, Matthew Woo, 51, from Allenstown, was ejected from the vehicle and declared dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Woo had been traveling southbound on I-93 when his vehicle sideswiped a flatbed Mack truck, driven by Giani Cancellieri, 31, of Brookline, New Hampshire.

After the collision, Woo’s Envoy veered off the left side of the highway, rolled over the median, and came to a halt on the northbound side.

Cancellieri was present when authorities arrived and reported no injuries.

The crash prompted the closure of multiple lanes in both directions of I-93, with traffic returning to normal flow by 12:40 p.m.

Investigators are still piecing together the events that led to the tragic incident.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation assisted state police and local fire department officials at the crash site.
