WILLISTON — Troopers from the Williston Barracks are seeking the public’s help in locating two suspects involved in a high-speed chase that occurred June 5.

At approximately 8:50 a.m., troopers attempted to pull over a grey 2016 Honda Accord with Vermont registration HMK482 on VT Route 2a near the Lincoln Road intersection.

The vehicle, operated by Kayla Palmer, 30, of Grand Isle, and passenger Thomas Burke, 41, of Colchester, fled at high speed upon the activation of the trooper’s emergency lights and siren.

The car, missing its front registration plate and showing passenger side damage, was last spotted near VT Route 2a and Sunset Hill Road.

Authorities chose not to pursue the vehicle further for safety concerns.

Earlier in the day, the same Honda Accord was involved in two separate pursuits by the Shelburne and South Burlington Police Departments.

Palmer is currently facing charges for eluding, negligent operation, and violation of conditions of release.

Burke is also facing a charge for violation of conditions of release.

The Vermont State Police urge anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Palmer, Burke, or the vehicle to contact the Vermont State Police-Williston Barracks at 802-878-7111.
