Norton police seek two in armed robbery at Cumberland Farms

NORTON — Norton Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Cumberland Farms convenience store on Mansfield Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Authorities were called to the scene at approximately 1:22 a.m. after a store clerk reported being robbed at gunpoint.

The clerk described the assailants as two individuals displaying a silver handgun during the incident.

According to the clerk’s description, suspect one is of athletic build, dark skin tone, and around 5 feet 8 inches tall.

He was wearing black sneakers, black jogger-style pants with a possible Nike logo, a black long-sleeve t-shirt, black gloves, and a white t-shirt wrapped around his face as a mask.

He was seen carrying a silver, semi-automatic handgun in his right hand.

The second suspect is described as shorter and thinner than the first, with a dark skin tone.

He was wearing black sneakers, black baggy pants, a black zip windbreaker-style jacket with the hood up, a lighter-colored undershirt, and a black t-shirt used as a mask.

This individual also wore black gloves and carried a black backpack with a face logo, and is believed to be left-handed.

Following the robbery, the suspects fled on foot, heading south on Mansfield Avenue, with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Norton Police are canvassing the area for video footage and witnesses.

The Norton Police Detective Division urges anyone with information or who might have area video footage to come forward to aid in the investigation.
