Swanton man arrested on suspicion of DUI in Franklin

FRANKLIN — Vermont State Police arrested a Swanton man on suspicion of driving under the influence early Tuesday morning after responding to reports of a dispute.

T. roopers were dispatched to Lake Rd by Dewing Rd at about 1:20 a.m. following two calls regarding a potential altercation.

Upon arrival, they identified Christopher Fournier, 23, as one of the involved parties.

An investigation led to the conclusion that Fournier had been operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol.

Fournier was taken into custody and brought to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court to face the DUI charge.
