Guilford resident arrested for domestic assault

GUILFORD — Vermont State Police responded to a domestic violence call on Butternut Hill Road shortly after midnight on June 3, leading to the arrest of a local resident.

Authorities were dispatched to the scene around 12:18 a.m. following a 911 call reporting a family altercation.

Upon arrival, officers identified 46-year-old Hilary E. Lamoureux as the perpetrator of a physical assault on a household member.

Lamoureux, from Guilford, was taken into custody and processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks.

Following the arrest, Lamoureux was housed at the Southern State Correctional Facility.

A court appearance is scheduled for Lamoureux at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Monday at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the domestic assault charge.

The Vermont State Police did not release the name of the victim, adhering to policies concerning domestic violence and sexual assault incidents.
