Dummerston woman arrested for DUI after leaving crash scene

DUMMERSTON — Vermont State Police apprehended a local woman on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle accident late Tuesday night.

Authorities responded to a report of a car crash on Middle Road at 10:51 p.m. Upon arrival, troopers found the vehicle abandoned.

Further investigation led them to an address on Falls Brook Road in Dummerston, where they located the driver, 33-year-old Rachel Suplee.

During the interaction with Suplee, troopers noted signs of impairment.

She was taken into custody on DUI charges and transported to Westminster State Police Barracks for processing.

Suplee was released with a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division on June 25 at 8:30 a.m.
