SWANTON — Vermont State Police arrested a 42-year-old Alburgh man on an outstanding warrant Wednesday afternoon after responding to a motor vehicle complaint.

Joshua Dumont was taken into custody at 4:03 p.m. on Interstate 89 southbound near mile marker 121.

The arrest warrant stemmed from a failure to appear in court on charges of petit larceny.

Dumont is currently being held and awaits court proceedings to address the charges against him.

Further details about the incident have not been released.

The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the vehicle complaint and subsequent arrest.
