Two men arrested for heroin possession in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — In a coordinated effort by Vermont State Police and Vermont Fish & Game Wardens, two men were arrested on charges of heroin possession on the evening of May 28.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police St. Johnsbury Barracks, along with Fish & Game Wardens, responded to a report of suspicious activity at around 7:43 p.m. on Pierce Road near the intersection with US-5.

Upon arrival, they encountered Phillip Greene, 34, and Damion Gage, 31, seated in a vehicle.

During the investigation, authorities discovered both Greene and Gage in possession of heroin and related paraphernalia.

Greene, a St. Johnsbury resident, was also charged with providing false information to a police officer and violating conditions of his release.

The transient Gage, along with Greene, were taken into custody and processed at the state police barracks in St. Johnsbury.

Both men have been cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Aug. 26 at 8:30 a.m. to face their charges.

They were released on their own recognizance following the arrest.
