Manchester man charged with trio of burglaries, held on $25,000 bail

MANCHESTER — A local man has been arrested and charged with three counts of burglary following a string of property crimes in the town, according to the Manchester Police Department.

Brett Weber, 30, of Arlington, was taken into custody on May 28 after an investigation linked him to burglaries at Perfect Piece Consignments on April 3, C & C Dry Cleaners on April 8, and the First Congregational Church of Manchester on April 10.

The Manchester Police Department, aided by the Vermont State Police, utilized video surveillance from the surrounding area and forensic techniques to identify Weber as the suspect in these crimes.

Following his arrest, Weber was lodged at Marble Valley Correction Facility with bail set at $25,000.

Police indicated that additional charges are forthcoming in connection with numerous vehicle break-ins and thefts throughout Manchester.

The investigation into these incidents remains ongoing.
