SALISBURY — Two 23-year-old men from St. George were cited for grand larceny after allegedly stealing kayaks from a Kampersville campground guest, Vermont State Police reported.

Authorities said Jakob Remick and Andrew Bruce took the kayaks belonging to 58-year-old Sean Keown of Rochester on the night of May 17.

The kayaks were later found abandoned in Lake Dunmore.

Troopers were called to the campground on May 18 after Keown reported the theft.

The investigation led to the identification of Remick and Bruce as suspects.

Bruce was issued a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court on May 23, while Remick received his citation on May 27.

Both are expected to face charges at the Criminal Division of the court on a later date.
