Two juveniles cited for vehicle theft in Whiting

WHITING — Two juveniles were issued citations on Tuesday after allegedly stealing and damaging a vehicle belonging to Anna Krans-Gould, a 23-year-old resident of Whiting.

State Troopers reported that on May 19, they received a call concerning a stolen vehicle from Krans-Gould’s driveway on S Main Street.

The investigation concluded that the juveniles took the car early that morning.

The stolen vehicle was found on May 20 in the parking lot of the Ben & Jerry’s factory in Waterbury, with significant damage noted.

Authorities have scheduled the juveniles to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Family Division, to face charges for aggravated operation without the owner’s consent.

The court date is yet to be announced.
