BROWNINGTON — Vermont State Police detained a local man on allegations of unlawful trespass and mischief following a residential dispute Monday evening.

At around 6:46 p.m., troopers responded to a call from Donald Baker, 49, who claimed that his neighbor, Jason Degreenia, 45, had entered his Ticehurst Road home without permission.

Baker, who resides in Brownington, reported the intrusion after Degreenia allegedly accessed the home through the back door.

Authorities apprehended Degreenia as he tried to escape the scene on foot.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Derby Barracks for processing.

Degreenia was later lodged at the Northern State Correctional Facility and is scheduled to appear in court to face his charges.
