AUBURN — The Auburn Police Department reported a successful recovery of two high-value vehicles stolen from a local dealership, demonstrating a swift response to a growing trend of electronic vehicle thefts.

The first theft occurred on May 1 when a used vehicle equipped with advanced electronic systems was stolen overnight without the need for a physical key.

Detectives at the Auburn Police Department quickly identified the technology used in the theft and initiated a search for the missing vehicle.

Two days after the initial incident, a second vehicle was stolen from the same dealership.

The Auburn Police Department expanded their investigation, executing two search warrants and collaborating with other law enforcement agencies across Massachusetts.

Within a week of the first theft, both vehicles were located and returned to the dealership thanks to the diligent work of the Auburn Police detectives.

While evidence processing is still underway, no charges have been filed yet.

The Auburn Police Department is actively investigating these crimes and encourages anyone with information about criminal activity to come forward.
