Rye police seek public’s help identifying driver in school bus incident

RYE — The Rye Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a driver who reportedly passed a school bus unlawfully on Monday, May 20.

At approximately 3 p.m., an incident involving a green Mini-Cooper with white racing stripes was reported.

The vehicle, which also has a “U” sticker on its rear window, was seen passing a school bus in the Rye area.

Officers are currently investigating the complaint and reviewing surveillance footage from the time of the reported event.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any relevant information to come forward.
