Two-vehicle collision in Dummerston leads to citation for hit-and-run

DUMMERSTON — Troopers from the Westminster Barracks were dispatched to Middle Rd near the intersection with East-West Rd following reports of a hit-and-run accident involving two vehicles on May 19, at approximately 3:33 p.m.

According to the report, Jason Lake, 46, of Putney, was operating a 2007 Saab 93 when he collided with a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Cameron Misnick, 33, of Keene, NH.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.

The collision resulted in minor damage to both vehicles.

Lake’s Saab sustained scuffs and paint disturbance, while Misnick’s Lancer suffered a broken driver’s side mirror.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and neither party required hospitalization.

Investigation into the crash revealed that Lake had left the scene without providing his information to Misnick.

Furthermore, Lake provided false information to law enforcement officials about the incident.

As a result of the investigation, Lake was issued a criminal citation for failing to stop after the crash and for making false reports to law enforcement authorities.

The Westminster Barracks continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
