Richford man faces charges for vandalism and driving with suspended license

RICHFORD — A local man was cited for unlawful mischief and driving with a criminally suspended license after an incident involving vehicle vandalism, Vermont State Police reported.

Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks arrived at Center Street on May 17 at approximately 9:28 p.m. They discovered a vehicle owned by 21-year-old Dalton Nelson of Richford had been damaged.

The investigation identified 25-year-old Aaron Brunton, also of Richford, as the person responsible for the damage.

Further inquiry revealed that Brunton was operating with a suspended driver’s license at the time of the incident.

Brunton is scheduled to appear before the Franklin County Superior Court on July 1 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charges.
