Derby vandalism targets teenager’s Ford Ranger

NEWPORT — Vermont State Police are investigating a vandalism incident involving a vehicle belonging to a 19-year-old Newport resident.

Between the hours of 10 p.m. on May 18 and 9:30 a.m. on May 19, the teen’s Ford Ranger was defaced with white spray paint while parked on 4H Road in Derby.

The act of unlawful mischief has prompted authorities to seek the public’s assistance.

Vermont State Police urge anyone with information related to the incident to contact the Derby Barracks as they continue to gather evidence and pursue leads to identify those responsible for the damage.
