Leicester man charged with aggravated domestic assault

LEICESTER — Vermont State Police arrested a 60-year-old man on suspicion of first-degree aggravated domestic assault after responding to an altercation at a Leicester residence on May 17.

Troopers were called to the scene on Hooker Road at approximately 5:56 p.m. where they discovered that Kevin A.

Betourney allegedly attempted to inflict serious bodily harm on a family member.

The identity of the victim has not been disclosed by authorities in adherence to privacy policies concerning victims of domestic violence.

Following the incident, Betourney was taken into custody and processed at the New Haven State Police Barracks.

He was subsequently released with conditions and a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on May 20.

The details surrounding the altercation have yet to be fully disclosed as the investigation continues.
