Ferrisburgh woman arrested for domestic, simple assault, and burglary

FERRISBURGH — A 33-year-old woman from Orwell was arrested late Saturday night following a family fight that led to multiple assault charges, Vermont State Police said.

Heather Rule was taken into custody after troopers responded to a report of an assault involving a household member on Plank Rd. in Ferrisburgh at 8:43 p.m., according to the Vermont State Police – New Haven.

Upon arrival, troopers found Rule at the scene where she reportedly assaulted several individuals known to her.

Evidence gathered at the location supported the allegations of domestic assault, simple assault, and burglary.

Rule was processed at the VSP New Haven Barracks and released with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court – Criminal Division.

The court date and time for Rule to answer to the charges will be scheduled later.

As a matter of policy, the Vermont State Police did not release the names of the victims due to the nature of the incident.
