ALBANY — The Albany Community School, in collaboration with the Caring Team from Columbia Forest, hosted a special Make-a-Wish party for second-grade student Lexi Chaske, featuring a “Frozen” theme.

The celebration, which took place last month, included games such as “pin the nose on Olaf” and a Frozen bean bag toss, along with appearances by beloved characters Olaf and Sven from the movie.

Students from the North Country School of Dance performed a scene from “Frozen,” choreographed by Krista Hogge. The performance included a dance titled “Summer,” featuring characters Olaf the snowman and Anna, portrayed by Seth Locke and Emma Marquis, respectively.

The event was well attended by students from all grades. Middle school students volunteered to assist with activities designed for the younger attendees. Local businesses contributed to the festivities, with The Genny providing cookies and juice boxes, and Price Chopper in Derby donating a Disney-themed cake.

Lexi, the daughter of Karen Carroll-Young of Albany, will soon visit Disney World with her family, staying at the Give Kids the World Village, a resort that offers special experiences for children with critical illnesses.
